About Me

I’m a hypnotherapist certified by the American Hypnosis Association and trained by the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, the nation's first and oldest accredited school for hypnotherapy. I'm am also certified in Neuro-Linguistics Programing (NLP), Therapeutic Imagery, Sports Performance and Smoking Cessation.

Before pursuing a career in hypnotherapy, I worked as a political public relations consultant, handling media training, coaching and ghost-writing for some of the nation’s highest profile leaders in reproductive freedom, criminal justice reform, LGBTQ+ rights, immigration policy and environmental protection. My ghostwriting has been published in hundreds of national and local media outlets including The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, and FOX News.

My previous career as a spin-doctor provided me with 25 years of practicum, unknowingly honing the skills of expert hypnotherapy, including: listening for both literal and inferred meanings; identifying and incorporating particular values most likely to affect a targeted audience (you); and imbuing communication with a professional’s measured tone, timing and cadence.

Turns out I’m really good at this.

I grew up in Nashville, earned a B.A. in Political Science at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, cut my teeth in D.C., built my first career in New York City and San Francisco and currently reside in Los Angeles with my pit-mix rescue dog, Georgia. I’m the liberal gay Buddhist son of a conservative preacher. I can work with anyone.

Let’s talk.
